Xavien Howard: Dolphins Cornerback Sets Career High in PFF Grade
Miami Defender Continues to Excel
Pro Bowl Cornerback Aims to Break Record
Miami Dolphins cornerback Xavien Howard has shown exceptional performance in the 2023 season, earning the highest PFF grade of his career. Selected 38th overall in the 2016 NFL draft, Howard has established himself as one of the league's top cornerbacks.
According to ESPN, Howard has recorded 12 pass deflections and one interception in 2023. His PFF grade of 89.6 is a career high, surpassing even Jalen Ramsey's impressive mark. This performance outshines Stephon Gilmore's production in 2019, the year he won the Defensive Player of the Year award with the Patriots.
Howard, a three-time Pro Bowler, aims to surpass Dolphins coaches Bill Madison and Patrick Surtain, who rank second and third in team history with 29 and 27 interceptions, respectively.
